    More about V.M. ā€¦
A passionate teacher of extensive knowledge and profound language expertise. A volcano of energy generating fresh ideas, attitudes and activities. A person of unsurpassed professional enthusiasm, creativity, discipline and talent. A perfectionist. A dream of a boss. A symbol of responsibility. Fabulous responsibility that was so much secretly hated among us, his students (former, unfortunately).

That responsibility didn’t let us skip classes, look stupid and have dull eyes and thoughts during his classes. It made us slave over books without a wink of sleep because we knew HE would come to the class with no exercise undone in writing. Just literally ā€“ he thoroughly did every assignment (mean for us, of course) including translations and essays. How could you possibly dare to ignore the tasks? Even if you did, sometimes, you were devoured by shame and tormented by pangs of conscience for weeks. To avoid that, you were doomed to become a hardworking learner, an obsessed bookworm and, finally ā€“ a sophisticated language lover.

Thank you so much for this, dear Vitaliy M. Thanks for the blog. I feel as if I had a friendly talk with you again.

    Tamara (G),
a teacher, a translator, a former student missing your classes.
